My Story

Hello, my name is Kathleen and thank you for visiting my website.

I founded Stitch & Dine in 2016 as a project for my retirement. I have always had a passion for sewing since my childhood but found that a busy family life and career meant I couldn’t devote as much time to it as I would have liked. Once I retired I was able to rekindle my sewing hobby and I’ve never looked back. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love making my dinner table look inviting and stylish with matching tableware, so it was easy to decide what my first retirement sewing project would be. However there are only so many table mats, runners and napkins that one house can need so I decided to take the plunge and Stitch & Dine was born.

Me with some of my product range.

Over the past six years my range has expanded beyond tableware to all sorts of accessories for the kitchen and beyond including aprons, ovenware and bunting. I’ve recently expanded into eco-friendly products for the kitchen.

I regularly sell at craft fairs in the Scottish Borders, where I live, in Edinburgh and further afield.  I also take bespoke orders.

I love the whole process of sewing and selling, from spending time in my ‘Sunny Sanctuary’ sewing room to interacting with my clients at fairs.

So please have a browse and I hope you find something you love!

Kathleen 😊
